Early Life and Career

Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California, on February 24, 1955. He was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, a working-class couple. Jobs showed an early interest in electronics and technology. He attended Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, where he met Steve Wozniak, who would later become his co-founder of Apple.

After graduating from high school, Jobs attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon. However, he dropped out after six months. He then traveled to India to seek spiritual enlightenment. Upon his return to the United States, Jobs worked at Atari, a video game company. In 1976, Jobs and Wozniak founded Apple Computer in Jobs' garage.

Apple Computer

Apple Computer quickly became one of the most successful companies in the world. Jobs' vision and leadership were key to the company's success. He was responsible for the development of some of Apple's most iconic products, including the Macintosh computer and the iPod.

However, Jobs was also known for his difficult personality. He was often demanding and ruthless, and he could be very difficult to work with. In 1985, Jobs was forced out of Apple by the company's board of directors. He went on to found NeXT, a computer company that was not as successful as Apple.

Return to Apple

In 1997, Jobs returned to Apple as CEO. The company was on the verge of bankruptcy, but Jobs quickly turned it around. He oversaw the development of some of Apple's most successful products, including the iMac, the iPhone, and the iPad.

Jobs died of pancreatic cancer on October 5, 2011. He was 56 years old. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest innovators and leaders in the history of technology and business.
